My Story

One of the greatest things that my boyfriend has taught me is that your family is not just made up of your relatives.  A family can continue to grow bigger and bigger when you let new people into your heart.  That's what happened when I met Kristoffer.  We had been a part of the same Ex-Mormon support group for a few years before we figured out that we lived in the same town.  Despite our age difference of 13 years we realized that we had quite a bit in common, and after we met we quickly became best friends and lovers.  He and I are both divorced; I have no children, he has three.  Rianna is 8, Gjorde (pronounced Jordy) is 6, and Alathandrja (Alie) is 4.  When the time came for me to meet his children I was extremely nervous.  Having no kids of my own, I thought that they would definitely drive me crazy, that I wasn't ready to share Kris's attention when they were around, that everything would change...
But as it turns out, Kris really wasn't kidding when he told me that his children were the best in the world.  I had already fallen in love with Kris, but this lucky girl got to fall in love three more times, and it has been so incredibly wonderful.  Although they are not mine biologically, I have been striving to be the best Stepmom I can be.  And this is where I will be sharing my stories and chronicles of my adventures as a 23-year-old Stepmom of three with you.

Much love,
Alycia
